- Get 4 cup Cooked rice

To make puffed rice or murmura namkeen, the first thing that needs to be done is to roast the peanuts. Heat the oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot, add roasted peanuts to it. Keep stirring till the colour changes to brown.
Steps to make Cooked Rice Namkeen:
- First of all, dry the cooked rice under direct sunlight for nearly 4 days. Spread it properly under direct Sunlight. It need to be perfectly dried up.
- Deep fry this sun dried cooked rice in hot oil until golden brown. In the same oil, fry Peanuts, Almonds, roasted Bengal gram, Curry leaves and Cornflakes. Also fry green chillies if desired. These are however optional.
- Combine all these in a big mixing bowl. Stir in the rest of the spices mentioned. Squeeze lemon juice just before serving. Toss well until combined. Serve immediately to your loved ones, friends and the guests.

Once the oil is hot, add roasted peanuts to it. Keep stirring till the colour changes to brown. Once the peanuts are brown in colour and give a good fragrance, remove from the pan and put it in. Dry roast the thin poha (flattened rice) in batches in a sufficiently big heavy-bottomed pot or kadai. Set it aside to cool on a plate.
